The survey comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Iran following months of military confrontation. Recent polling in Israel has also shown significant concern about the security consequences of a prolonged conflict.
At the same time, security assessments cited in Israeli circles have warned that Iran could potentially prepare for a coordinated, multi-front operation if tensions escalate. Such a scenario has reportedly been compared in terms of its potential scale and element of surprise with the October 7, 2023 attacks.
The assessments reportedly include the possibility of simultaneous involvement by Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas, the Houthis in Yemen and Iran-aligned groups in Iraq in a coordinated operation against Israel. These remain security assessments and potential scenarios rather than confirmed plans.
The latest polling comes as the wider Iran-Israel conflict continues to generate uncertainty across the region, with international efforts also focused on preventing further escalation.
