Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, in his speech on the occasion of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the secretaries general of this movement, while honoring the high position of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and martyr Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, emphasized the unwavering continuation of the path of resistance, preserving the main ideals, and the necessity of preserving Lebanon’s internal unity.
Elaborating on the latest political and security developments in the region, he stated that Palestine will continue to be the qibla and the main axis of freedom for the resistance movement; Because the Jihad that raised the Palestinian flag kept this issue alive in the conscience of the Islamic nation.
The beginning of a new stage of resistance under the title “I am on the Covenant”Referring to the developments on the ground, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon announced the beginning of a new chapter in the battle and jihad, saying: The Hezbollah Council has decided to recognize this stage, which began with the battle of “Awli al-Bas” and continued with numerous incidents, including injuries resulting from the Pager incident, as a new period in the path of jihadi activities.
He added: Hezbollah, the Islamic Resistance and the Mujahideen have named this stage “I am on the Covenant” to indicate absolute adherence to the covenant and pact we made with the martyrs; an expression that was also used in the funeral ceremony of the two great and glorious leaders. Sheikh Naim Qassem also considered the injured in the Pager incident “living martyrs” and worthy role models for society, and praised them for turning their physical injuries into effective activism, resistance, and continuation of the path of jihad.
Resistance is the result of aggression, not its causeExplaining the existential philosophy of resistance and rejecting deviant analyses of the Zionist regime’s movements, the Hezbollah Secretary General stated: The main issue in the current confrontation is facing an “open aggression.” Resistance was fundamentally formed in response to occupation and aggression.
Contrary to the claims of those who say that resistance attracts aggression, the main and underlying cause is the enemy’s aggression itself.He continued: “To say that one must surrender to aggression in order to stop it is a prescription for surrendering to the enemy and accepting occupation, foreign guardianship, and hegemonic plans. We will never accept such a thing; Because Lebanon is a common country for all of us, it must be governed based on understanding, and we will not give up even a single inch of our land.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, asking what action the government has taken to prevent aggression, stated: The main responsibility for preventing aggression against the country lies with the political power and the government, which must make decisions, order the army, and take action to defend the people.
After the agreement was initiated in difficult circumstances, the government was expected to fully follow its responsibilities, and although measures such as consultations and international contacts were taken, in practice it was the resistance that stopped the enemy’s foreign aggression project.
He explained the tactics of the fighters in the operational axes of southern Lebanon and said: Resistance forces stood up to the enemy in all parts of the south, including Bint Jbeil, Khayyam, Aita al-Shaab, Naqoura, Bayadah, and Ali al-Taher. In a situation where maintaining a position becomes very difficult and costs increase, resistance forces are transferred to other places based on the tactical pattern of attack and retreat.
The resistance in the Ali al-Taher area lasted three months, and in other areas, resistance continued for months, and this tactical method will continue until the goals are achieved.Responsibility for reconstruction, Iran’s roleThe Secretary General of Hezbollah continued to address the issue of reconstruction and resettlement of war victims, emphasizing: We will carry out the necessary follow-ups in the field of restoration and reconstruction and will put pressure on government officials to fulfill their legal duties.
Hezbollah is also committed to playing its part in the resettlement and reconstruction project by using its facilities, attracting public assistance, and encouraging governments and organizations, and will continue this process despite pressure, siege, and numerous obstacles.In the final part of his speech, Sheikh Naim Qassem praised the resistance and principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and reminded that Iran, with the dedication of its leader and martyrs, has remained on the path of resistance and has been able to help reduce the level of tension in Lebanon through its agreement with the United States.
At the same time, he strongly condemned Washington’s interventionist policies, saying: America attacked Iran in broad daylight, continues the siege and pressure, and continues its actions without any real reason other than imposing domination.
Sheikh Naim Qassem also emphasized that the Zionist regime is carrying out massacres in Gaza under false pretenses under the direct management and support of America, but today this criminal enemy has become a completely hated entity not only among governments, but also among the nations of the world.
