Iran: Migrant Children With Incomplete Documents Can Attend School
DID Press: Nader Yar-Ahmadi, head of Iran’s Center for Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Affairs, said migrant children whose parents hold valid residence documents can enroll in Iranian schools even if the children’s own documentation is incomplete, with their documents to be completed during the school year.

Yar-Ahmadi said that holding a passport alone does not constitute legal residence in Iran and that migrants must also obtain a valid residence permit.
He also rejected reports that applicants have a 15-day deadline to visit Kafalat offices, saying no such deadline has been set in the center’s regulations or procedures.
