DID Press: Iran and its allied forces have carried out at least 135 missile and drone attacks on 84 infrastructure sites across Gulf countries since the war began on February 28, 2026, damaging oil and gas facilities, oil transportation systems and airports, according to a Reuters visual investigation.

The investigation, published on Thursday, October 15, found that the attacks targeted facilities including the Fujairah oil installations in the United Arab Emirates, the Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas complex in Qatar, and several airports and oil pumping stations across the region.
Reuters reported that some strikes appeared to have precisely targeted sensitive equipment whose destruction could disrupt industrial and energy operations for extended periods. The countries identified as affected include Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
According to Reuters, some regional authorities have disclosed limited details about the damage, while others have attributed damage to debris from intercepted missiles. The report assessed that the attacks, combined with restrictions on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, have increased economic and logistical pressure on regional countries and US military operations. It also highlighted Iran’s use of asymmetric tactics to target vulnerable points in critical infrastructure.
