DID Press: Reports in US media say Brig. Gen. Brit Sylvia, director of strategy and planning at the US Joint Staff, has been abruptly removed from her position on the orders of the US Secretary of War.
The Atlantic and the BBC reported the senior military official’s sudden removal. In its report, the BBC cited two sources familiar with the matter who confirmed the decision.
The move comes amid a series of changes and dismissals involving senior officials at the US Department of Defense. Some reports have linked the developments to what they describe as US military setbacks in the war with Iran.
