US Accused of Pressuring Ships and Maritime Agencies to Conceal Hormuz Incidents

DID Press: Brett Erickson, a senior executive at a risk consultancy firm, says the United States has pressured even the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) to withhold reports of many incidents in the Strait of Hormuz that have been announced by Iran.

He said US pressure extends beyond international maritime organizations, with commercial vessels also facing similar pressure.

According to reports, the captain of another vessel witnessed a ship catching fire and reported the incident. However, the damaged vessel has reportedly refrained from publicly declaring that it was attacked, allegedly due to US pressure.
