DID Press: The office of Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, leader of Afghanistan’s National Islamic Movement, has denied reports claiming that the Turkish government prevented him and Mohammad Mohaqiq from travelling to Pakistan.

In a statement, Dostum’s office described the reports as “completely baseless, untrue and without any foundation.”
The office also urged media outlets and social media users to cover such matters carefully and responsibly and to refrain from spreading misinformation.
The statement was issued in response to rumours alleging that the Turkish government had blocked Dostum and Mohaqiq from travelling to Pakistan.
