DID Press: Afghanistan Football Federation has announced its final 10-player squad for the country’s U18 national futsal team ahead of the Dakar Youth Olympic Games, with captain Abbas Haidari notably absent from the list.
According to the federation, the final squad consists of 10 players, but Haidari’s name does not appear among those selected.
The federation has not explained why the captain was left out of the final roster. It said only that, despite not being included in the squad, Haidari would accompany the team in Dakar.
The omission comes as Afghanistan’s U18 national futsal team prepares to compete in the Youth Olympic Games.
