Four Afghan Youths Reportedly Die After Alleged Police Torture in Turkey
DID Press: Four young men from Afghanistan’s northern Samangan province have reportedly died following torture and beatings by Turkish police after being detained near the country’s border, according to local sources.

The victims were residents of Kokjar village in Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan province. They were reportedly arrested while attempting to cross the Turkish border.
According to the sources, the four youths were subjected to severe torture and beatings after their detention and subsequently died.
The incident comes amid the recent circulation of videos from Turkey’s border areas showing alleged violent treatment of Afghan migrants by border security forces and their detention in poor conditions.
