According to the report, almost 12,000 people have been forced to flee just last week.
Provincially, the highest number of internally displaced people have been in Kunduz province; where German forces stationed there until a few years ago. The UN registered 13500 internally displaced people in this province.
Kunduz province has always witnessed fierce clashes. In the latest one, 15 to 60 people have been killed as result of army forces airstrike on Dasht-e Arshi district on Monday, according to reports. The attack may probably lead to civilian casualties.
On the one hand, the United Nations warns that internally displaced people are “the most vulnerable” in Afghanistan.
The UN recorded 450,000 internally displaced people in 2016 in 2017 and 660,000 in 2016.
Currently, about 900,000 people are living under “inhumane conditions” in camps, according to the UN report.
