US special representative on the Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad met with president Ashraf Ghani amid heights of tensions between Kabul and Washington.
The meeting, which was attended by US ambassador to Kabul John Bass, discussed the peace process.

The issue of national security adviser Hamdullah Mohib, is said to has been raised during the meeting as well. However, neither the Americans nor the Afghan presidential palace comment about it yet.

Tensions erupted between Kabul and Washington during the latest round of US – Taliban talks in Doha, Qatar.
