Death Toll Rises in Wednesday Kabul Attack

Security officials says Thursday that the death toll of attack on Counterpart International organization in Kabul climbed up to nine killed and 20 injured.


Security officials says Thursday that the death toll of attack on Counterpart International organization in Kabul climbed up to nine killed and 20 injured.
“In yesterday’s attack 9 people were killed, including a security force, 4 public protection guards, one security guard of the Counterpart organization and 3 civilians while 20 civilians were wounded,” said Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry.

The Interior Ministry, meanwhile, said that 5 attackers stormed the Counterpart International Organization.
According to the Interior Ministry statement, the police forces were succeeded to save 200 staff members of the organization and civilians during the clearing up operations.

On Wednesday, a group of armed suicide attackers conducted a deadly attack on US-based aid group in Kabul city, and Taliban claimed the responsibility.
