An eight-member committee has reportedly formed from both the Afghan delegates as well as the Taliban in the second day of Doha meeting to prepare a joint statement.
The joint committee includes Rangin Dadfar Spenta, Omar Zakhilwal, Nader Naderi, Habiba Sarabi and Lutfullah Najafizade from the Afghan delegates, while Mawlawi Hanafi, Malawi Mutaqi and Shahabuddin Delawar from the Taliban representatives are the members of the committee, according to reports.
Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen told reporters in Doha that they will enter intra-Afghan negotiations after foreign troops announce withdrawal from Afghanistan.
According to him, the ceasefire will be discussed after troops withdrawal.
“We want an Islamic system in the country,” he added.
The remarks come as the second day of talks among the participants set to begin in Doha which will end after announcing a joint statement.
