Afghanistan Turkmen figures establish new party in Turkey
DID Press: A number of political figures and diplomats of Turkmen descent affiliated with the former Afghanistan government in Turkey have established the “National Justice Party of Afghanistan.”

Continuing the efforts of Afghanistan politicians in exile to redefine their role in the country’s future developments, a group of Turkmen figures from the former Afghanistan government announced the establishment of a new party in Turkey titled “National Justice of Afghanistan.”
The party was founded by figures such as Faiz Mohammad Osmani and Jamahir Anwari (former ministers), Rozgildi Oviçi and Nazari Turkmen (former members of the National Assembly), Abdul Rahim Oraz and Mohammad Issa Misbah (former ambassadors), and Mohammad Anwar Bashliq (former senator).
At the first meeting of the party, which was held in Turkey, 28 July 2025, Mohammad Issa Misbah, former Afghanistan ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, was elected as the party’s chairman. Nazari Turkman and Shokofa Farhang were also introduced as his deputies.
The party leaders emphasized that their goal is to strengthen national unity, peaceful coexistence, end ethnic and religious discrimination, and to promote a sense of ownership of the country among all Afghanistan citizens.
Misbah, the head of the newly established party, said that no group can be called a majority or a minority because an accurate and reliable census has not been conducted in the country.
“We want education in native languages, free election of local officials, and respect for the rights of women and children,” he added.
He also emphasized that freedom of religion must be guaranteed, adding that “When India can live in peace with hundreds of religions, why can’t we with three?”
Following the caretaker government’s consolidation of power, political parties have been banned in Afghanistan while many political activists, former officials, and cultural activists have sought refuge in other countries
