Silence Becomes Headlines: Untold Narative of 12-Day War

DID Press: According to a report by France 24 monitoring team, a total of 36 Iranian missile strikes on Israeli territory have so far been identified and geolocated. These attacks, which targeted both residential and military areas, were verified through open-source data analysis and the examination of both professional and amateur imagery.

The findings indicate that several significant strikes took place, which have been heavily censored by Israeli authorities.

During the 12-day conflict, Iran launched over 500 missiles toward Israel. According to the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), more than 50 of these missiles struck Israeli territory.

Strikes on Military Targets: Total Media Blackout
The monitoring team confirmed four direct strikes on Israeli military zones, including a missile hit on the “Moshe Dayan” base in Ramat HaSharon, located near the headquarters of Mossad and Unit 8200.

Another attack, on June 13, targeted the “Kirya” district in Tel Aviv — home to the Israeli General Staff headquarters and the Ministry of Defense.

While a Fox News correspondent was broadcasting live from the scene, they were interrupted by an unidentified individual and forced to cut the report. The footage later circulated on social media but was removed from official news outlets.

Two additional strikes on Tel Nof Airbase and the “Tziporit” camp were confirmed through satellite imagery and data from the University of Oregon.

However, as of the time of this report, the Israeli military has refrained from issuing any official confirmation.

Critical Infrastructure Targeted
Iran also carried out three strikes on energy infrastructure, including an oil refinery in Haifa port, which was shut down for two weeks.

The operating company reported estimated damages of between USD 150–200 million, with three employees killed in the ensuing fire.

Attack on Israeli Research Institute
The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot was also hit by missile strikes. As one of Israel’s leading advanced research centers, it sustained severe damage: more than 45 laboratories were destroyed or impaired, with financial losses estimated in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Thousands Injured and Tens of Thousands of Compensation Claims
According to INSS figures, approximately 3,500 Israelis were injured and around 30 killed during the hostilities. More than 41,000 damage claims have been filed with Israel’s Tax Authority.

Despite the scale of destruction, most of these attacks — particularly those on military facilities — have been kept from public view under Israeli military censorship
