550 New Garbage Bins to Be Installed Across Herat City

DID Press: Local Taliban authorities in Herat have announced that 550 new garbage bins with different designs and shapes will soon be installed in various parts of the city.

Yusuf Saeedi, spokesperson for the Herat provincial authorities, said the bins will be distributed and installed across all districts of the city. He said the aim is to provide better conditions for garbage collection and improve urban cleanliness.

He called on residents to cooperate in protecting and maintaining the garbage bins and to refrain from damaging, moving or misusing them.

The spokesperson for the Herat provincial authorities also stressed that keeping the city clean is not solely the responsibility of relevant government departments and that residents should work alongside responsible institutions to maintain urban cleanliness.

According to local officials, the 550 garbage bins will be distributed and installed inside the city by the Herat Municipality. A shortage of garbage bins in some parts of the city had previously been described as one of the major challenges affecting urban cleanliness.
