Taliban Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation of Gaza

DID Press: Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan’s caretaker government strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s decision to occupy the entire Gaza Strip, describing the move as dangerous and deeply concerning.

In a statement issued on Saturday, August 9, the ministry denounced the occupation plan, warning that it constitutes a serious and alarming action.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the ministry, said in the statement that such a decision could lead to an expansion and intensification of the war and worsen the humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people.

The caretaker government also urged influential international actors—particularly key regional powers—to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities to prevent the humanitarian crisis in Gaza from escalating and becoming bloodier.

It further called on these countries to facilitate a ceasefire and ensure the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip
