Taliban Caretaker PM Meets Chinese Foreign Minister in Kabul
DID Press: Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Taliban-led government, met with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his delegation on the sidelines of the trilateral meeting of foreign ministers from Afghanistan, China, and Pakistan.

During the talks, Akhund expressed gratitude for China’s support in international forums and called for continued cooperation to strengthen Afghanistan’s global standing. He emphasized that Afghanistani territory would not be used against other countries and urged regional nations to foster friendly, constructive relations.
Wang Yi described Afghanistan and China as “good friends,” expressed respect for Afghanistan’s independence, and reiterated China’s readiness to cooperate in security and economic sectors. He also highlighted the importance of addressing China’s regional security concerns to facilitate Afghanistan’s sustainable development.
