Afghanistan Tops List of High-Risk Countries for Americans

DID Press: U.S. Department of State issued a strong warning to American citizens, urging them to avoid traveling to Afghanistan due to serious security concerns.

In its latest statement, the Department identified Afghanistan as one of the most dangerous destinations for U.S. nationals, citing risks of arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, and severe security threats.

The statement further noted that the Department’s ability to provide consular assistance or support to American citizens inside Afghanistan is extremely limited or virtually nonexistent.
