DID Press: Iran’s national under-21 volleyball team claimed its third World Championship title with a 3-1 victory over Italy in the 2025 finals held in China.
The Iranian lineup included Ali Mombini, Arian Mahmoudinejad, Taha Behbudnia, Emran Kokjili, Matin Hosseini, Armin Ghalichniazi, and Morteza Tabatabai, under the guidance of head coach Reza Momeni Moghadam. Matin Hosseini was the match’s top scorer with 18 points.
Iran previously won the U21 World Championship in 2019 and 2023, defeating Italy in the final on both occasions.
