Tashkent, Beijing Stress Regional Cooperation on Afghanistan Reconstruction

DID Press: Ismatullah Irgashov, Uzbekistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, met with Yu Xiaoyong, China’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, to discuss the reconstruction of the country.

The two sides closely reviewed the current situation in Afghanistan in light of rapidly evolving regional and global developments. They discussed coordinating regional and international efforts to address Afghanistan’s challenges and planning future meetings on the issue.

The constructive talks highlighted both countries’ shared interest in strengthening practical dialogue between Tashkent and Beijing.

China’s representative emphasized that the two nations will continue to expand cooperation to support Afghanistan’s reconstruction.
