Albania Appoints World’s First AI Minister

DID Press: In a groundbreaking move, Albania became the first country in the world to appoint an artificial intelligence–based digital figure as a government minister.

The AI minister, named “Dila”, has been tasked with overseeing public procurement and combating administrative corruption.

Prime Minister Edi Rama said the initiative is aimed at enhancing transparency in government processes, tackling bribery, and eliminating nepotism and political pressure in public tenders and contracts.

He stressed that Dila will be able to analyze vast amounts of data, make faster decisions, and remain immune to human influence.

The AI minister is also expected to interact directly with citizens and state institutions, using advanced algorithms to monitor the procurement system in real time.
