Afghanistani Student Wins Gold at Iran’s Medical Sciences Olympiad

DID Press: Mahdya Ehsani, an Afghanistani student at Qom University of Medical Sciences, has won a gold medal in medical ethics at the 17th National Olympiad for Medical Sciences Students in Iran, setting a historic record for her university.

According to reports by Young Journalists Club, Ehsani also earned a silver medal in team competition, marking the best overall performance by Qom University of Medical Sciences in the history of the Olympiad.

The annual Olympiad, designed to enhance students’ scientific, ethical, and professional capabilities, is considered a prestigious academic contest in Iran.

Ehsani’s achievement is seen as a remarkable success for both the academic community in Qom and Afghanistani students studying in Iran.
