Iran-Afghanistan Cultural Cooperation Marks Milestone in Bilateral Relations

DID Press: Afghanistan’s acting Minister of Information and Culture, Shir Ahmad Haqqani, met with Iran’s ambassador to Kabul, Ali-Reza Beikdeli, to discuss strengthening historical and cultural ties between the two neighboring countries.

During the meeting, Haqqani highlighted shared history of Afghanistan and Iran battle against their enemies, calling it a milestone in bilateral relations and a strong foundation for future cooperation. He emphasized the vital role of culture in fostering people-to-people ties and described it as an effective tool to address current challenges and enhance bilateral relations.

Both sides agreed that mutual dialogue and respect are essential for resolving issues between the two nations.

The discussions also covered joint cultural and economic projects, including organizing festivals, academic conferences, and exchanges of educators and artists. Plans for collaborative initiatives in the border provinces of Iran and Afghanistan were also reviewed, reflecting a commitment to deeper cross-border cultural and economic cooperation.
