Hamas Says Israel ‘Not Trustworthy’ After Repeated Violations of Past Deals
DID Press: A senior Hamas negotiator said on Tuesday the Palestinian group does not trust Israel’s promises to halt the war, citing what he called Israel’s repeated breaches of previous agreements.

Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Hamas delegation at the recent Sharm el-Sheikh negotiations, said: “Past experience has clearly shown that Israel has repeatedly violated signed agreements and failed to honor its commitments. Therefore, we cannot rely on verbal promises without guarantees.”
He added that Hamas insists any future deal must include “clear mechanisms for implementation and international monitoring,” stressing that “without such provisions, no agreement will be considered valid.”
