Lavrov: Chances of Palestinian Statehood Are Diminishing

DID Press: Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the prospects for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state are decreasing.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Lavrov said that statements from Israeli officials suggest such a state “will never be formed,” referring to remarks attributed to Israel leadership.

He described the developments as concerning and warned that such positions could further undermine the two-state solution framework.

The issue of Palestinian statehood remains one of the central and unresolved dimensions of the long-standing Middle East conflict, facing persistent political and diplomatic obstacles.
