Netanyahu Cancels Sharm el-Sheikh Trip to Avoid Tense Meeting with Arab Leaders
DID Press: The office of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu announced the cancellation of his planned visit to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Hebrew-language media reported that the decision was made to avoid cabinet disputes and potentially critical exchanges with Arab leaders.

According to Israeli Channel 12 journalist Mohammed Al-Majadleh, the main reason behind the cancellation was Netanyahu’s concern over “challenging stances” expected from Arab leaders during the upcoming Sharm el-Sheikh summit.
The report adds that the prime minister preferred to skip a meeting that exposes divisions within his fragile coalition.
Political analysts in Tel Aviv suggest that the move comes as Israel faces growing diplomatic isolation in the region, especially as its relations with several Arab governments have cooled following Gaza war.
