DID Press: US President Donald Trump has warned that if Hamas fails to comply with the ceasefire agreement, he may authorize Israeli forces to resume military operations in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking on Wednesday, Trump said the Middle East remains in a fragile state as diplomatic efforts continue to preserve the ceasefire.
“The ceasefire must be fully respected,” Trump said. “If Hamas does not honor the agreement, Israel can, with my support, resume its military operations.”
The remarks come as regional powers push to maintain calm following months of conflict in Gaza and as Washington works to prevent a wider escalation in the region.
