DID Press: Russian FM Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow supports the commitment of Afghanistan and Pakistan to dialogue and peaceful settlement of disputes through political and diplomatic means.
The Russian Foreign Ministry welcomed the ceasefire and de-escalation agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, reached through Qatar and Turkey mediation.
According to Zakharova, this approach not only helps maintain peace between the two friendly nations of Russia but also plays an important role in strengthening regional security.
She also called on Kabul and Islamabad to further expand their bilateral cooperation in various areas, including the fight against terrorism.
The agreement follows recent border tensions between Afghan Taliban forces and Pakistan.
