Iran and Afghanistan Confer Expanding Cultural Cooperation

DID Press: Dr. Hussaini, Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, and Dr. Sadeqi, Head of the Aryazamin Cultural Foundation, during a meeting highlighted expansion of scientific, cultural, and artistic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan.

Dr. Hussaini highlighted deep historical and civilizational ties shared by the two nations, saying that “Iran and Afghanistan possess common cultural and religious roots, offering valuable opportunities for collaboration in various academic and cultural fields.”

While certain groups attempt to create distance between the two peoples through media manipulation, cultural actors must strengthen the path of convergence and mutual understanding, he added.

The Iranian cultural attaché also mentioned plans such as organizing joint cultural and scientific exhibitions and developing science and technology parks between Kabul and Tehran as practical steps toward enhancing bilateral cooperation.
