Taliban: TTP Joint Project of US, Pakistan’s Military
DID Press: Taliban Government spokesperson accused the United States and Pakistan’s military of jointly creating the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), describing the group as a byproduct of their past policies.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban government’s spokesperson, said during a press conference on Saturday, November 8, that the origins of TTP date back to 2002, when Pakistan’s army permitted U.S. military operations in Waziristan region.
He said that the issue of TTP and Pakistan is not new and has continued even after the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan.
Mujahid said the Taliban administration has made efforts to bring TTP representatives to the negotiating table with Islamabad, calling the process “largely successful,” but claimed that Pakistan’s army sabotaged these efforts.
He further alleged that specific factions within the Pakistani military oppose Afghanistan’s independent sovereignty and benefit from instability in the country.
Taliban has relocated tribal refugees feared by Pakistan to central provinces and established camps to better monitor and control their activities, Mujahid added.
Concluding his remarks, Mujahid said: “We have the right to defend our country, and with the support of our people, we will protect every inch of our land. No foreign group or state has the right to violate our sovereignty.”
