US–Taliban Talks on Returning Ex-CIA-Linked Afghan Migrants Raise Concerns
DID Press: Following shooting on two National Guard soldiers in Washington, concerns are rising over Washington’s potential hidden agenda as the U.S. and the Taliban government discuss the return of certain Afghan migrants.

Abdul Karim Khurram, former chief of staff to ex-President Hamid Karzai, said in a recent post that the U.S. and the Taliban are engaged in talks to send back some Afghan migrants.
He stressed that the White House may use recent attack on two National Guard soldiers as a pretext to repatriate thousands of Afghans who were previously trained by the CIA and later relocated to the United States.
The suspected shooter in the recent incident is reportedly among this group.
The Director of the CIA confirmed that the shooting suspect had previously cooperated with the Agency, calling his entry into the U.S. “a consequence of the Biden administration’s failure.”
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump described the attack as “an act of terrorism” and demanded a full review of all Afghans who entered the United States after 2021.
The United Nations, noting the suspension of Afghan asylum claims, emphasized that asylum is a fundamental human right and should remain accessible to all individuals facing violence and crisis.
