Iranian Official: Quran Key to Solving Muslim World’s Challenges

DID Press: Dr. Sayed Rouhollah Hussaini, Iran’s Cultural Attaché for Afghanistan, emphasized during a meeting with prominent Afghan migrant Quran reciters in Iran that returning to teachings of the Holy Quran is the only way for the Islamic Ummah to overcome its current challenges.

Dr. Hussaini met and held discussions with a group of distinguished reciters of the Holy Quran from among Afghan migrants residing in Iran. During the meeting, he stressed the importance of preserving and strengthening Quranic activities, saying today’s world needs the healing guidance of the Quran and its teachings more than ever.

He added that whenever Muslims have adhered to Quranic principles, they have attained dignity and strength, while distancing themselves from these teachings has led to the weakening of the Islamic Ummah.

Referring to the Quran-centered environment that has developed in Iran since the Islamic Revolution, Hossaini said the flourishing of Quranic talents among Afghan nationals is a result of this supportive context. He concluded by emphasizing the need to review methods of Quranic education and to employ innovation and creativity to better engage and attract younger generations.
