Al-Marsad claims former associates behind assassination of General Sarie

DID Press: Taliban-affiliated media outlet Al-Marsad has claimed that the perpetrators of the attack on General Ikramuddin Sarie were individuals previously connected to his inner circle and to the Ahmad Massoud group, but who had split from these networks due to internal disputes.

The report cites an unnamed source within the Taliban government, but no independent verification or response from the named groups has been reported so far.

General Ikramuddin Sarie was killed last Wednesday in Tehran during an assassination operation, along with one of his companions.
