DID Press: Pakistan strongly opposed any foreign intervention in Iran’s internal affairs, saying Tehran’s security and stability are vital for the entire region.

Speaking at a press briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said Pakistan firmly rejects all forms of external interference in the domestic affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He stressed that Islamabad’s foreign policy is based on respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, in line with international law, and urged other powers to refrain from meddling in Iran’s internal matters.
The spokesperson added that Iran’s stability and security are of critical importance not only to Pakistan but to the wider region, warning that attempts to destabilize Iran through foreign intervention could have serious consequences for regional peace and stability.
