Afghan Shiite Council Urges Pakistan to Strengthen Shiite Security After Mosque Attack
DID Press: The Council of Afghan Shiite Scholars condemned the assault and called on the government of Pakistan to take more responsible and effective measures to protect the security of Shiite citizens, In the wake of a terrorist attack on the Khadijah Kubra Mosque in Islamabad.

In an official statement, the council strongly denounced the attack in Pakistan’s capital, which killed more than 30 worshippers and wounded around 170 others.
Expressing condolences to the families of the victims, the council prayed for the martyrs’ elevated ranks in the hereafter and for the swift recovery of the injured.
The statement urged the Pakistani government to implement serious and effective security measures to safeguard its citizens—especially followers of the Shiite faith.
The council also emphasized that despite repeated attacks on Shiite religious centers, no clear public report on the arrests and public prosecution of the perpetrators has been released to date.
