UN: 880 Palestinian Families Displaced by Settler Attacks in West Bank

DID Press: United Nations said at least 880 Palestinian families have been forced to flee their homes across the West Bank following organized settler attacks and sweeping restrictions on movement and access to resources.

A UN spokesperson expressed concern over rising tensions in the West Bank, saying repeated settler violence alongside constraints on mobility and access to basic services have driven large-scale displacement of Palestinians.

According to the report, most affected families lived in rural and peripheral areas of the West Bank and were compelled to leave due to insecurity, destruction of property, and sustained pressure.

The United Nations warned that the trend could have far-reaching humanitarian and social consequences.

The international body called for an immediate halt to violence, protection of civilians, and guaranteed safe access for families to essential services, urging all parties to comply with international law.

UN officials said the humanitarian situation in parts of the West Bank is deteriorating and requires urgent international action to prevent further escalation of the crisis.
