Afghanistan’s First Mining Exhibition Opens in Kabul

DID Press: The first dedicated mining exhibition in Afghanistan has opened in Kabul, with Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Taliban’s deputy prime minister for administrative affairs, announcing the government’s readiness to facilitate investment in the country’s mining sector.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hanafi urged domestic and foreign investors to invest in Afghanistan’s mining industry.

He said the Taliban government was prepared to provide the necessary facilities to investors to encourage greater investment in the country’s mining sector.

Hanafi also stated that foreign companies could lease land for extended periods without being required to enter into partnerships with Afghans.

Afghanistan’s mining sector is considered an important part of the country’s economy. Attracting investment in the industry could help develop its natural resources and create economic opportunities.
