Taliban Claim Airstrikes Inside Pakistan

DID Press: Taliban Ministry of Defense claimed it carried out airstrikes on military targets in several Pakistani cities, while Islamabad has not confirmed the claims and has only reported the fall of a drone in Swabi.

In a statement, the Taliban Defense Ministry said that in response to recent Pakistani military attacks, it used its air force to target military objectives in Islamabad, Nowshera, and Abbottabad.

Taliban officials described the operation as successful. However, Pakistani authorities have not confirmed that any such strikes occurred in those cities.

So far, the only confirmed field report concerns the Swabi district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where a small drone crashed near a school, injuring a young girl.Local police said preliminary investigations indicate that the school was not the intended target of the projectile.
