Israeli analyst: Iranian Power Structure Remains Cohesive Despite Leader’s Assassination

DID Press: Raz Zimmt, a senior Israeli analyst on Iranian affairs, has stated that Tehran’s management of wartime operations following the assassination of the Supreme Leader demonstrates that Iran’s governmental structure continues to operate cohesively and efficiently.

He notes that the political-security apparatus, developed over the past 47 years, has maintained decision-making and operational continuity even amidst disruption at the top of the power hierarchy.

Zimmt emphasized that while the death of a leader could create gaps at the highest levels of power, a fundamental structural change in Iran’s system would likely be far more complex and difficult than commonly assumed.
