DID Press: Gasoline prices in the United States have risen sharply in recent days, according to new reports. CNBC reported that fuel prices have increased by about 8.5 percent over the past three days, marking one of the fastest rises in nearly two decades.

Energy market analysts attribute the spike largely to escalating tensions involving Iran and growing concerns over potential disruptions to global oil supplies. The developments have triggered significant volatility in energy markets, pushing prices upward within a short period.
Experts say such a rapid increase was last seen after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, when damage to U.S. oil infrastructure led to a sharp surge in fuel prices across the country.
Analysts warn that if tensions between Iran and the United States continue and key energy transit routes face disruption, gasoline and other petroleum product prices in the U.S. could climb even higher.
