DID Press: Australia has begun sourcing emergency jet fuel from China amid escalating energy disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict and reported instability in the Strait of Hormuz.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that the country has secured three shipments of aviation fuel from China, totaling around 600,000 barrels.
He said the shipments are expected to arrive in June, adding that rising tensions in the Middle East have driven up fuel prices and raised broader concerns over energy security across the Asia-Pacific region.
According to reports, the agreement followed recent discussions between Albanese and Chinese Premier Li Qiang on energy cooperation and supply stability.
Officials said the decision comes as shipping disruptions and heightened risks in the Strait of Hormuz continue to affect global energy markets, prompting several countries to reassess supply chains.
