Pakistan Shelling Hits Civilian House in Afghanistan

DID Press: Local sources in Khost Province reported that Pakistani forces targeted civilian houses in a border area of the province.

According to Mustaghfar Gurbaz, spokesman for the Khost governor’s office, Pakistani troops struck residential homes belonging to civilians in the Brekhilo area of the Gurbaz district.

He said the attack caused significant concern among local residents and resulted in damage to several houses.

In response, Afghan forces reportedly targeted a Pakistani military fort along the disputed border line in the Ghulam Khan border area.

Local officials noted that the incident comes amid rising tensions along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where periodic clashes and exchanges of fire have been reported in recent months.

Authorities have not yet released further details about possible casualties resulting from the incident.
