DID Press: An improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has killed two police officers and wounded 31 others, including civilians, according to local authorities.

The blast occurred in Rustam Bazaar in the city of Wana, where security officials said police were conducting a patrol on Saturday evening when the explosion struck.
Police said the explosive device had been planted near the main entrance of a supermarket, detonating and hitting both police officers and civilians present at the scene.
Asghar Ali Shah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Wana, said the explosives were placed at the main entrance of the market and were likely detonated either by remote control or through a timed device.
The attack comes one day after another suspected suicide car bombing near a checkpoint on the highway between Bannu and Miranshah in North Waziristan. That incident killed one civilian and injured 19 others, including two security personnel.
Security authorities in Pakistan said an investigation has been launched to determine responsibility for the latest attack.
