Iran Lodges UN Protest Against Qatar, Kuwait and UAE Over Alleged US Cooperation

DID Press: Iran has formally protested to the United Nations over what it described as cooperation by Qatar, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates with the United States in actions against Tehran.

In three separate letters addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the United Nations Security Council, Iran’s permanent representative said allowing national territory to be used for attacks violates international law and undermines regional peace and stability.

The envoy warned that such actions could have serious consequences for regional security and called on the UN leadership and Security Council members to examine the issue and prevent further escalation.

The letters also reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense against any threats or hostile actions.

The move comes amid rising tensions and increased military activity across the region, fueling concerns about a broader conflict.

Officials from Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have not yet issued formal responses to the protest.
