Dostum Threatens Taliban Again: “I Can Repeat Dashte Laili Experience”

DID Press: Abdul Rashid Dostum, speaking from Turkey, has once again warned the Taliban, suggesting he could repeat the “Dashte Laili” experience.

Dostum referred to his long history of military and political engagement, stating: “My record is clear to everyone, and if necessary, I can bring the Taliban to their knees again.” He emphasized that past experience demonstrates no power can ignore the genuine will of the people and opposition forces.

The National Movement leader also noted that opposition presence outside Afghanistan, even from thousands of kilometers away, remains influential, and the Taliban should not underestimate these warnings.

Dostum’s statements have generated significant attention on social media, and political analysts suggest such rhetoric may heighten tensions within Afghanistan’s already volatile political environment.
