Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan: “No Talks with US Have Taken Place”

DID Press: Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, clarified that despite recent claims, there have been no direct or indirect negotiations between Iran and United States.

Speaking in Islamabad, he emphasized that efforts by friendly countries are aimed solely at creating conditions for dialogue and ending the ongoing conflict, and should not be mistaken for direct U.S.-Iran talks.

Amiri Moghadam added that Iran respects these diplomatic initiatives to halt aggression, noting that consultations are ongoing. He stressed that these measures only provide an opportunity to reduce tensions and lay the groundwork for future discussions—they do not signal the start of official negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
