Britain Expresses Concern Over Israel’s Military Expansion in Lebanon

DID Press: Following Israel’s announcement to expand its security zone in southern Lebanon, the British government expressed concern over the escalation of tensions in the region.

Hamish Falconer, Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the UK Foreign Office, stated on social media platform X that London is “deeply concerned” about Israel’s decision to expand ground operations in Lebanon.

Falconer highlighted that over one million people have already been forced to leave their homes due to the ongoing military operations.

He further warned that Israel must refrain from actions that could worsen the crisis and avoid any attempts to occupy Lebanese territory.

This response comes after Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that he had ordered the expansion of the Israeli-controlled military zone in southern Lebanon.

Recent developments have heightened fears of increased border clashes between Lebanon and Israel and underscored the humanitarian consequences of such actions.
