DID Press: Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, in candid remarks, voiced strong opposition to any military action against Iran, deeming it unacceptable from multiple perspectives.

In a recent statement, Mamdani emphasized his firm stance against war with Iran, describing such an action as impermissible both ethically and politically.
Speaking to a political analyst, the mayor said: “This is a war that should be opposed on every front—not just procedurally, but morally and politically as well.”
He added that such conflicts carry wide-ranging consequences for both regional and global stability.
Mamdani also highlighted the economic costs of war, noting that the financial resources spent on such conflicts could instead be directed toward improving living conditions for citizens within the United States. Ignoring this reality, he argued, reflects a disregard for society’s core priorities.
Referring to recent developments, the mayor described U.S. and Israeli military actions as “escalating a dangerous crisis” and warned of the potential consequences.
He stressed that continuing on this path could exacerbate global instability and heighten international tensions.
