Muttaqi: Afghanistan Will Not Be Used as Launchpad for Regional Attacks

DID Press: Amir Khan Muttaqi, Taliban’s foreign minister, stated that no group or faction will be allowed to use Afghan territory to act against neighboring countries.

Speaking at the conclusion of a consultative meeting with diplomats from Central Asian countries in Kabul, Muttaqi emphasized that the Taliban is committed to preventing any activity that threatens regional security.

Referring to Afghanistan’s long history of conflict, he noted that the country has borne the heavy consequences of decades of warfare and the Taliban does not want similar situations to be repeated in neighboring states.

Without naming any specific group, Muttaqi said the presence or activity of such elements will not be tolerated, highlighting a firm decision on this matter.

Regarding recent tensions with Pakistan, the minister added that the issue is being addressed through dialogue, expressing hope that these consultations will yield positive results.
